SmartCare Healthcheck

Fisher & Paykel SmartCare Healthcheck is a unique service performed upon your Fisher & Paykel product within your home or wherever the product happens to be within Australia*. Specifically, the service is a set of diagnostic tests and checks run on your Fisher & Paykel product to check it's state of 'health', ensuring the product is installed correctly and is performing at it's optimum level.

Think of it as preventative check ups much like you would conduct on yourself with your GP or even you motorvehicle's annual service check up. Why should your appliances be any different? After all, your home appliances are most likely significant investments that you would wish to keep operating at their optimum.

The cost of a SmartCare Healthcheck is $110 + GST for one product on one visit. This flat rate covers the cost of performing a test on one your Fisher & Paykel appliances and any straightforward rectifications required if any issues are identified. If the issue involves sourcing a part that our Technician does not have, then we will need to order that part and make a booking to come back to complete the job (you may need to pay for spare parts and labour depending on the level of repair required).

Who performs a SmartCare Healthcheck?

Specially trained Fisher & Paykel Service Technicians. Our own national network of Service Technicians carry a full range of spare parts and tools to complete 95% of fixes first time.

Is a SmartCare Healthcheck an extended warranty?

No. It is a check up. Potential problems will most times be identified in advance, thereby avoiding repairs and downtime. In the first two years of Fisher & Paykel product ownership you will be covered by our standard TWO year warranty, therefore repairs and spare parts are fully covered. Thereafter, if repairs or spare parts are identified as required by your SmartCare Healthcheck, you may need to pay for spare parts and labour depending on the level of repair required.

What is the benefit of a Fisher & Paykel SmartCare Healthcheck?
Liken it to a check up with your local doctor. Potential problems or issues are identified early on, before the issue becomes a major problem. Many problems commonly stem from incorrect installation and / or incorrect usage of the appliance. Often issues that are left untended can then cause wear or tear and lead to eventual part failure. These can be identified early before part failures via diagnostic testing.

What if my SmartCare Healthcheck identifies a problem?

If the identified issue is a relatively straightforward adjustment then our Service Technician will gladly make the rectification on the spot. However, if the issue involves sourcing a part that our Technician does not have, then we will need to order that part and make a booking to come back to complete the job (you may need to pay for spare parts and labour depending on the level of repair required). Remember, in the first TWO years of product ownership your Fisher & Paykel appliance is covered by warranty against faults, but not operating negligence or mishandling.

What is the physical Australian coverage for SmartCare Healthcheck?

SmartCare Healthcheck coverage is national. Please understand however that rural booking times for Fisher & Paykel Service Technicians may take an additional seven working days.
