Fisher & Paykel and the ANZ Netball Championship

Fisher & Paykel is a proud sponsor of the new ANZ Championship. In its first year this year, the championship is an amalgamation of the National Bank Cup and the Commonwealth Bank Trophy. As a Trans-Tasman affair, there’s no denying that the competition provokes an undeniable sense of nationalism.

Having sponsored netball from the grassroots up for 12 years now, we are excited to be involved in a competition that is rousing more support for club netball as well as for the game itself.

ANZ Championship General Manager Tony Holding says: "The new partnership with Fisher & Paykel Appliances is a fantastic addition to the competition. We also appreciate the immense value of their well-established association with New Zealand and Trans-Tasman netball. It’s wonderful for us to have the support of a company so closely identified with the game."

Fisher & Paykel congrtulates all the teams that competed in the championship for making it such a success. Particular mention must go to the New South Wales Swifts for their outstanding performance in winning the championship in its inaugural year.

Alongside the championship, Fisher & Paykel ran a competition seeking out the Biggest Netball Fan. With many entrants in contention, we are delighted to announce that Bev Harvey from Invercargill has won the prestigious title. Congratulations to Bev who has won a trip to a Silver Ferns international test match.
